Just letting everyone know that this Friday November 15th the SGL Fire Department will be having a night practice in preparation for the winter months. We will begin at 6:00 pm and will be in the area of Southcrest Road. There will be alot of flashing lights and scene lighting. We will be shuttling water from Access 2 back to Southcrest Road . This is only a practice.

When this happens, it’s usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it’s been deleted.
In the last week there have been 2 instances that campfires have been abandoned without being put out. It is vitally important to put campfires out before leaving the area.
Our firefighters were out a couple of weeks ago working on FireSmart mitigation (Before the prohibition). Remember, effective as of 12 p.m. (noon) Pacific Daylight Time on Thursday, March 28, Category 2 and 3 open fires will be prohibited across the entire Cariboo Fire Centre. This prohibition includes the Cariboo Chilcotin Forest District, the 100 Mile House Forest District and the Quesnel Forest District. The following activities, equipment, materials and substances will also be prohibited:

Time Update: Garage Sale

Time: 9:30AM – Noon
Pies- $8.00 (apple, blueberry, strawberry/rhubarb, cherry). Other baked goods as well as hotdogs will also be sold.
Please bring your own bags for purchased items.
If anyone would like to assist please arrive at 9AM on the 18th, locate an auxiliary member and we will put you to work.
This is our annual fundraiser and we appreciate everyone’s support.
